This essential work arrives at a critical moment. According to the Alzheimer’s Association:

• An estimated 6.7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s.

• About 1 in 9 people aged 65 and older are affected.

• Nearly half of those over 65 will experience dementia-related symptoms.

• Women make up two-thirds of those living with the disease.

• Alzheimer’s-related deaths have surged 145% between 2000 and 2019.

• 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.

As our population ages, Alzheimer’s has become one of the most urgent public health issues of our time.
