Spontaneous Construction at Home Resource

SponCon is back! 

Join Home ReSource on Saturday, September 12 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for Missoula’s 22nd annual creative ReUse Build-A-Thon, a one-of-a-kind community event where creativity, sustainability, and a little friendly competition collide!

More than 20 teams will have just seven hours to transform completely reclaimed materials from the Home ReSource ReUse Store into incredible works of art, functional masterpieces, and who-knows-what-they’ll-think-of next! Come cheer on your favorite teams, watch the creations take shape, and soak up the SponCon spirit!

And there’s plenty more to enjoy:
– Pop-up tattoo booth by Sleeping Giant
(All proceeds support Home ReSource!)
– Frosty treats from Dreamy’s Soft Serve
– Family activities for the whole crew
– SponCon Gear + Customizable merch booth!
– 20+ teams proving that castoff materials can become a masterpiece

The fun doesn’t end at 4:00 pm! Come back to Home ReSource to see the SponCon creations on display through October 3, cast your vote for your favorite, and help choose the People’s Choice Award winner!

SponCon is a fun, free community event and everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, bring the kids, bring your enthusiasm, and come celebrate the creative possibilities of reuse!

Come to check out the action. Stay for the ice cream. Maybe get a spontaneous tattoo? And prepare to be amazed by what Missoula can build from reclaimed materials.

A note for our four-legged friends: Please leave dogs at home during Spontaneous Construction.
There will be noisy tools in use. Earplugs will be provided for humans!
