The Last of the Loftees at the Elks

Come help us with the Loft’s Swan song night. Envision the death of an era. Friday night the 15+? year old tradition that started with jazz and wine tasting is coming to an end. Come listen to those wonderful years flash before your ears, as many of its openers bring this era to a close. Much gratitude and love to the hundreds of wonderful musicians who made this scene a social, spiritual, and musical home. And I, Carla am very sad that we cannot all participate. I guess that would take an Irish wake.
KC asked Carla Green to “close”; as she started the music by asking KC LaFlesh if he would like some Jazz with his venture into a wine tasting. The roster filled quickly. There will be just a sampling of musicians, and hopefully some short, short stories between acts. Joe Glassy, Chris Pumphrey, Dave Scott, Mark Chase, Rhanda Johnson, Bruce Allen, Curtis Rathburn, Teri Lovett, Deni Lovett, Mike Hurd, Pat Montgomery, Jim Chilcote, Cousin Marlene, Eric Pfeiffer, Jerry King, Andrea Harsell, Sean Carter and a few other youngbloods. It is tradition to BYOB and a snack to share. Everyone welcome $5 suggested donation.

PS. From approximately 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm will be a jazz/blues/ or whatever jam I will have a signup sheet at the event. I envision mostly jazz, but it could be any combination of 4 who would like to play together.
