Worst Feelings + Les Duck with Dylan Running Crane at the ZACC

Les Duck is all about fast cars, slow guitars, family and friendship. Lukas Phelan and Sanders Smith trade songs exploring those very themes while Nate Biehl rips the steel guitar and James Rogers tickles the drums. Scrappy, jangly and a wee bit twangy, Les Duck channels a loosey goose sound somewhere between Arthur Russell and Crazy Horse.

Heralded (by some) as Missoula’s original family band, Worst Feelings has been satisfying audiences with their bouncy, mid-tempo bops for a quarter of a quarter century. Helmed by Flathead-raised Jesse Hadden, the 6-piece outfit offers up sweet harmonies, atmospheric textures and simply danceable grooves. It’s like if Fleetwood Mac and Pavement were best band friends. Basically, chicken soup for your ears.
