Happy Thanksgiving! We’re most thankful for YOU, our loyal followers & supporters of The Missoula Underground. The MUG has compiled the most comprehensive list of events in Missoula and around Western Montana, all right here for you to make your own Thanksgiving Weekend PICKS!
Thanksgiving Day has plenty of options to get out & work up an appetite in the morning before getting home to settle in for a big meal and a well-deserved nap!
Ski season is getting underway! Discovery is open this weekend, as is Lookout Pass – both would be a great excuse to make the drive to break in the sticks (and those creaky legs). On Saturday evening, your UM Grizzlies meet Tennessee State for the first round of the FCS Football Playoffs with kickoff at 8:15 pm at Washington-Grizzly Stadium – tickets are still available – Go Griz!
All throughout the weekend, you’ll find tons of local holiday and Christmas markets to get your shopping journey kickstarted. Shop small, shop local, please support our Montana craftsmen and vendors.
And there will be plenty of great local music to choose from all around the area – the weather looks okay all weekend – take the holiday to make a little road trip!
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of November weekend activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out & enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the area seasonal markets. Take the family for a brisk outdoor hike. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
