Spring has finally sprung, and this weekend really feels like it – we’re here to help you squeeze it all in with The Missoula Underground’s Weekend PICKS!

While winter’s mostly in the rearview, a couple of our local ski resorts are still open. This is the last weekend for Snowbowl, wrapping things up with a bonus weekend thru Sunday. That rain we’ve had this past week dumped one more batch of fresh snow on the local mountains – spectacular spring conditions! Lookout Pass remains open until 4/20. Get it while it’s still gettable. Pull up and bookmark The MUG’s Western Montana Snow Conditions – all in one place to double-check your destinations and plans.

With the change of seasons, it’s time to get stoked about mountain biking and getting out on the trails in the months ahead. The Ritual Mountain Bike Film Tour stops at The Wilma at 7:00 pm Thursday night showing a collection of ten new short films from established and independent film makers on the big screen. A big highlight will be the premiere of “Decades in Dirt” highlighting the amazing and colorful history of the Missoula area mountain biking community.

No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.

Get out & enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the area seasonal markets. Take the family for a brisk outdoor hike. Shake the rust off your bike and legs with an early spring mountain bike ride. Get out for some prime spring skiing. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
