Music, movies, and fresh fluffy powder – we’ve got ’em all, and more! The MUG has compiled the most comprehensive list of events from Thursday thru Sunday in Missoula and around Western Montana, all right here for you to make your own Weekend PICKS!
The annual Big Sky Documentary Film Festival gets underway this weekend. With multiple showtimes daily from February 16 thru February 25, and multiple venues showing films, you’re sure to find a few new docs to soak up in the days ahead.
Skiing? We have fresh snow all around. All of the of the area resorts are open, lifts are spinning, and it’s go-time! Thursday would be a well-chosen day to call in with the sniffles, just sayin’… With our winter season in full swing, The MUG has added a new Snow Conditions page. We have real-time live snow report links for all the Western Montana ski resorts, plus area XC grooming conditions, avalanche forecasts, and even links for fat bike trails – and MDT road reports! There are more than 70 local music shows of one kind or another in the area throughout the weekend – we have options!
While Valentine’s Day might already be past, it’s not too late to spend some quality time with your boo.
Quite a few restaurants are keeping it going with romantic menus. Take advantage for a nice an evening out this weekend.
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out and enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the winter markets. Take the family for a brisk winter hike. Go exploring on the fat bike. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
