Missoula Downtown Partnership’s Downtown Tonight is happening from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday at Caras Park featuring local food trucks, vendors and live music this week from local Missoula bluegrass band Blue Point.
Roots country & Americana band Tylor & The Train Robbers play live at Monk’s in Missoula Thursday at 9:00 pm.
Logjam Presents welcomes Charley Crockett for a (SOLD OUT) live “$10 Cowboy Tour” concert with Noeline Hofmann opening at the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner on Friday. On Saturday, Montana’s favorite tribute band Pinky & the Floyd perform a live 30th Anniversary of Pink Floyd’s “The Division Bell” show at the KettleHouse Amphitheater – tickets still available.
You can take the kiddos to a grade-schoolers’ performance of “Aladdin” at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Friday at Missoula Children’s Theatre.
Western Montana’s farmers markets are in full swing for the season. Missoula alone has five Saturday markets, and with the the rest the area bustling with fresh local markets every day of the week and weekend. Up in Kalispell, the inaugural Kalispell Tattoo Expo is happening all weekend, Friday thru Sunday, at the Flathead County Fairgrounds. If you’re looking for some fresh ink, there’ll be live tattooing and body piercings all weekend by up to 100 award winning tattoo artists and piercers.
Get a bit of poetry plus a bit of natural history with Poets in the ‘Root presented by Bitterroot Audubon at O’Hara Commons & Sustainability Center in Hamilton at 1:00 pm Saturday.
Blues, Brews & BBQ is a fundraiser Brewfest with Little Jane & The Pistol Whips performing live in Downtown Historic Philipsburg from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday.
Rising country music talent Jaden Decker makes a stop at The Old Post in Downtown Missoula on his “Movin’ On” tour, Saturday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
There are at least 70 local music shows of one kind or another in the area throughout the weekend – we have options!
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of Fathers Day Weekend activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out & enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the area farmers markets. Take the family for a brisk hike. Get out on the mountain bike. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
