Montana Book Festival
#virtualmissoula
This year, Missoula’s Montana Book Festival has gone virtual, with a full slate starting on Thursday, September 10 and running through Saturday, September 12.
41 books and topics by and with Montana authors will be featured, with live YouTube readings and discussions.
For a complete / detailed schedule, visit the Montana Book Festival complete schedule on MissoulaEvents.net at
https://www.missoulaevents.net/tag/MTBookFestival
The Montana Book Festival strives to foster interest in literature for people of all ages, to perpetuate a sense of literary community, and to provide a vibrant, compelling forum for the literary arts that celebrates diversity in Montana, around the West, and beyond!
For over thirty years, Missoula’s annual book festival has paid tribute to the tradition of writing in the West by bringing together authors from across the state, the Rocky Mountain West, and the Pacific Northwest. In 2015, Humanities Montana’s Festival of the Book became the Montana Book Festival, in no small part thanks to the generosity of our fiscal sponsor, Arts Missoula. Since then, the Montana Book Festival has been a grassroots organization, relying on individual donations, grants, corporate sponsorships, a handful of dedicated locals, and the enduring support of the Montana literary community to survive. We have worked to build upon the event’s legacy while also reinvigorating the festival with new ideas and fresh perspectives.
Every year, local sponsors have come together to bring literary personalities such as James Lee Burke, Jane Smiley, Bill Kittredge, Charles D’Ambrosio, Gretel Ehrlich, Rick Bass—and more—to our mountain town. Along with an exciting array of readings, panels, and exhibits, we annually host Pie & Whiskey, Erotic Fan Fiction, concerts, and parties in downtown Missoula. Against a beautiful mountain backdrop, in a city split by the famous Clark Fork River, summer comes to a close, and the Montana Book Festival comes to life.

Orchard Homes Farmers Market
2537 S 3rd St W
Missoula, Montana
We started this market in 2007 and have been growing every year!
We are a small, local market located in the parking lot of the Orchard Homes’ Country Life Club. Selling produce has been part of the Country Life Club’s history for 100 years! We are proud to continue the legacy.
We offer produce, crafts, jams and jellies, baked goods, jewelry, flowers and other items. All the produce at the market comes from within Orchard Homes and travels less than a mile to get to market! Now, THAT is fresh!
If you want to get to know your farmer, this is a great market to do that! There is a great community between all the vendors and we LOVE our customers.

Ten Spoon Winery

Slip on your dancin’ shoes! Move to the beat — and three-part harmonies — of rock, folk, doo wop, country and jazz tunes.
Three-part harmonies blend in our rock, folk, doo wop, country and jazz covers.
Basses Covered has been blazing their way through Missoula, from festivals to tap rooms to markets to back yard patios. We love Hot Springs. And Lolo. And, since the summer of 2013, after months of hard-working rehearsals, we’re adding the funnest of miles to our odometer. We play well-known and little-known songs from our favorite music libraries of artists that include Ray Charles, the original Moody Blues, Everly Brothers, Moonglows and our own tunes. Veteran musicians Carla (bass, guitar), Eric (rhythm and lead guitar) and Marlene (guitar, bass) form this harmonious trio that makes you wonder where all that percussion is coming from without a drummer. We just might get you tapping your feet or swing-dancing with a partner. It’s been known to happen.

There’s a few tickets left but ACT FAST – our garden shows always sell out!
Meet the Beatles! Just one month after they exploded onto the U.S. scene with their Ed Sullivan Show appearance, John, Paul, George, and Ringo began working on a project that would bring their revolutionary talent to the big screen. A Hard Day’s Night, in which the bandmates play cheeky comic versions of themselves, captured the astonishing moment when they officially became the singular, irreverent idols of their generation and changed music forever. Directed with raucous, anything-goes verve by Richard Lester and featuring a slew of iconic pop anthems, including the title track, “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “I Should Have Known Better,” and “If I Fell,” A Hard Day’s Night, which reconceived the movie musical and exerted an incalculable influence on the music video, is one of the most deliriously entertaining movies of all time.
Please note: The Garden is located behind The Roxy Annex at 730 S. Higgins. Parking is available in front of The Roxy Theater or on 5th and 6th Streets; please do not park in the Humble Building parking lot. No outside food or drink, or dogs, permitted. Masks are required everywhere in the Garden whenever you are not actively eating or drinking. Seating is limited, so please buy tickets online to ensure you’ll have a spot.
