Get in, sit down, and hold on tight – The MUG has compiled the most comprehensive list of events from Thursday thru Sunday in Missoula and around Western Montana, all right here for you to make your own Weekend PICKS!
Draught Works is holding their annual Adult Spelling Bee that starts at 6:00 pm sharp Thursday – everyone has that pro-level speller friend or family member, they should sign up. Spelling has never been so fun.
Logjam is rockin’ all weekend – at The Wilma, Niko Moon brings “The Better Days Tour” Thursday; Opiuo has an EDM show Friday; and The California Honeydrops fill The Wilma on Saturday. Groove’s 420 Party at The Top Hat happens on Saturday with a free late evening concert by Spunj.
It’s 4/20 Weekend, so those of you who are so inclined will be rounding up your buds to partake in any number of themed shows and events in the spirit of the magical date. Missoula’s 5th Annual 420 Block Party is at Caras Park starting 11:30 am Saturday.
The first weekend of the annual International Wildlife Film Festival kicks off Saturday at The Roxy Theater.
Earth Day is coming up, and on Sunday in Missoula the Clark Fork Coalition is hosting their annual Volunteer River Cleanup starting 9:30 am at Caras Park. At 10:30 am, Earth Within Girls hosts a Spring Song Circle and Earth Day Celebration featuring Andrea Harsell at Sacred Ally in Missoula.
There are around 70 local music shows of one kind or another in the area throughout the weekend – we have options!
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of springtime activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out and enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the area markets. Take the family for a brisk hike. Get back out on the mountain bike. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
