So. Much. To. Do. …The Missoula Underground is here to help you ponder & pick all the live music, farmers markets, outdoor events, and cool stuff going on all over Western Montana this mid-July Thursday thru Sunday. It’s all here with The MUG’s Weekend PICKS!
It’s time to float! Take advantage of UM’s FREE UDash River Shuttle Service to get to the Clark Fork River Access points in Missoula at Sha-Ron and Milltown through July and August.
Downtown ToNight featuring the Missoula Makers Collective Market, food trucks and live music in Downtown Missoula 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday Nights thru August (live music starts at 5:30 pm). Tonight’s featured live music is with the Montana International Choral Festival.
Throughout the whole weekend, the The Montana International Choral Festival celebrates its 38th year as America’s premier non-competitive choral festival at the University of Montana and around Downtown Missoula.
Thursday Fest kicks off the 2025 summer season with live music by Out on Bail 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Northwest Montana History Museum in Kalispell.
Anaconda’s Copper Village Museum & Art Center presents a weekend of Art in Washoe Park with nearly 100 art & craft vendors, live music, food trucks and family fun on Friday thru Sunday.
Bring the kids to see MCT’s production of The Emperor’s New Clothes at Missoula Children’s Theatre with performances at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm Friday.
Alpine Artisans’ 25th Annual Loon and Fish Festival takes place with an Art Sale featuring 25 local artists and local live music, Friday thru Sunday, at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Building.
The Whitefish Summer Concert Series brings The Music of The Rolling Stones – a Tribute Concert to the Whitefish Theatre with performances at 8:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Sign up for a day of paddling fun with Flathead Lakers’ 9th annual Poker Paddle at Boettcher Park in Polson starting at 8:00 am Saturday.
The summer farmers’ market season is in full swing, including Orchard Homes in Missoula, Anaconda, Columbia Falls and Ronan on Thursday, Polson and Saint Ignatius on Friday, and all the ones in Downtown Missoula, Hamilton, Kalispell, Stevensville, Arlee, and Hot Springs on Saturday morning. On Sunday, there are farmers markets in Seeley Lake, Columbia Falls and Ronan to check out.

Have a fun Saturday at the 40th Annual Alberton Railroad Day Festival from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Hank Roat Memorial Park.
The 38th Annual Live History Days at Miracle of America Museum in Polson feature live old-timey craft making demonstrations 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
Come out to support the Families Against Cancer Cars & Motorcycles Show w/Live Music fundraiser for George “Nizzle” Galbavy and Melissa Burg at Caras Park in Downtown Missoula starting 3:00 pm Saturday.
The Missoula PaddleHeads’ annual Brewfest presented by Bitter Root Brewing returns to Ogren Park at Allegiance Field on Saturday – gates open at 6:00 pm with first pitch vs Great Falls Voyagers at 7:05 pm.
A Carousel for Missoula hosts the annual Fairy Tale & Super Hero Festival at the Dragon Hollow Play Area in Downtown Missoula 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Noon Sunday.
Enjoy the afternoon with Jazzoula’s first-ever Summer Concert at The River Edge Resort and Steakhouse in Alberton on Sunday from Noon to 4:00 pm.

No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of summer weekend activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out & enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the area markets. Take the family for a brisk outdoor hike – all the trails are waiting. Conditions are perfect just about everywhere for mountain biking. Summer fishing is at its peak. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
