The 15th annual Hardtimes Bluegrass Festival returns to Hamilton from Friday thru Sunday.
Join fellow music lovers at a spectacular ranch setting for the Woodtick Music Festival on Chaffin Creek Road southwest of Darby in the shadow of the Bitterroot Mountains on Friday and Saturday.
You can take the kiddos to a grade-schoolers’ MCT performance of “Peter and Wendy” at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Friday at Missoula Children’s Theatre.
Daly Days annual weekend in Downtown Hamilton features two days of street vendors, car show, live music & street dance, wiener dog races and fun activities for all ages on Friday and Saturday.
Logjam Presents hosts The Decemberists with Ratboys opening at 8:00 pm Friday at the KettleHouse Amphitheater. On Sunday, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue + Big Boi perform starting at 8:00 pm at KettleHouse Amphitheater.
Western Montana’s farmers markets are in full swing for the season. Missoula alone has five Saturday markets, and with the rest of the area bustling with fresh local markets every day of the week and weekend. Explore the Flathead Cherry Festival on Polson’s Main Street 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Sunday.
The Bitterroot Brewfest is happening 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday at the Daly Mansion in Hamilton; with food trucks and live music by Big Sky Mudflaps and the Dammit Lauren! Band.
Get in the groove at the 2nd annual Flathead Reggae Festival 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm Saturday at the Montana Tap House in Whitefish.
Get a little silly with Zoolapalooza for the “Greener Days” themed bike ride from Missoula’s Silver Park at 7:00 pm Saturday.
Saturday evening heats up with Rhythm & Tease: Live Band Burlesque at 7:00 pm at Stave & Hoop in Downtown Missoula.
Enjoy an evening with the legendary Judy Collins at 7:30 pm Sunday, July 28 at UM Dennison Theatre
There are at least 70 local music shows of one kind or another in the area throughout the weekend – we have options!
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of summer weekend activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out & enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the area farmers markets. Take the family for a summertime hike. Get out on the mountain bike. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly. Stay cool, and wear sunscreen!
