Lots of springtime weekend activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way. Road trip!
Patio season is officially here – get out and enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages on a sunny day. Try a new local brew! Support our local farmers and crafts people at the farmers markets. Take the family for an early summer hike, or get the bikes out for a big ride. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.

Grease the Musical
Bigfork Summer Playhouse
526 Electric Ave, Bigfork, Montana
It’s 1959, and Rydell High School’s senior class is in rare form. The too-cool-for-school “Burger Palace Boys” are stealing hub-caps and acting tough and their gum-snapping, chain-smoking “Pink Ladies” are looking hot in bobby sox and pedal pushers. The 1950s high school dream is about to explode in this rollicking musical that is both an homage to the idealism of the fifties and a satire of high schoolers’ age-old desire to be rebellious, provocative and rebellious. At the heart of the story is the romance between hot-rodding gangster Danny Zuko and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy Dumbrowski. They had a secret romance in summer, but now back in the context of school, peer-pressure and cliques make their love a bit more complicated. Can Danny maintain his cool dude status and still get make demure Sandy his girl? The whole gang sings and dances around Danny and Sandy’s romance, through such hit songs as “Greased Lightnin’”, “We Go Together”, and “Mooning”, recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. Starting off with an eight-year Broadway run, Grease is among the world’s most popular musicals and has a cult-like following, especially among teens!
Songs include: Summer Nights, Raining On Prom Night, Greased Lightning, Mooning, Freddy My Love, The Hand Jive and many more!

Washed up on the shores of West Africa, an infant boy is taken in and raised by gorillas who name him Tarzan. Apart from striving for acceptance from his ape father, Tarzan’s life is mostly monkey business until a human expedition treks into his tribe’s territory, and he encounters creatures like himself for the first time. Fiddler on the Roof
Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts
526 Electric Ave, Bigfork, Montana
Based on Sholom Aleichem’s “Tevye and his Daughters,” “Fiddler on the Roof” is the beloved story of the small, tradition-steeped town of Anatevka, Russia, where Jews and Russians live in delicate balance. During the course of the show, the time honored traditions of Anatevka are both embraced and challenged by Tevye and his colorful community, as they witness his daughters, Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava, grow up and fall in love in a time of extraordinary change. Fiddler on the Roof’s Broadway premier became the longest-running Broadway musical in history, a title it maintained for almost 10 years. It is a story that captures the essential human longings for love, community, success, freedom, family, and meaning.
Songs include: “Sunrise, Sunset,” the boisterous “If I Were a Rich Man”, and the classic “Matchmaker, Matchmaker.”

$26.50 Advance Tickets / $29.50 Day of Show (+ Applicable Fees)
Electronic musician, producer, and label-head, The Polish Ambassador, will return to The Wilma in Missoula on Friday, June 23rd, with support from Scott Nice.
Born as David Sugalski, The Polish Ambassador (TPA) has been spreading his stylistically diverse electronic creations since his 2004 debut Diplomatic Immunity. This year, he’s released several singles including “Bootyscoot,” “Superjuice,” “Funkle Tom,” and “Forever 5000.” TPA has a deep catalog of music with loads of remixes, collaborations and studio albums. His music is created via solar power on TPA’s off-grid community homestead and it’s available for free or “Name Your Price.” TPA also started the music label, Jumpsuit Records, which includes artist like Ayla Nereo, Saqi, Mr. Lif and Nitty Scott among others.
Besides delivering sonic diplomacy throughout the galaxy, TPA has used his popularity as an accelerator for real change. From birthing the Permaculture Action Movement (a movement where the energy of show/festival goers is catalyzed into community action), to launching a Village Building Convergence in his hometown, to creating a program where nutritious beverage options are available at music venues on tour, TPA uses his clout to make tangible change while inspiring hundreds of thousands people.
The Polish Ambassador delivered a couple of super funky shows to Montana last year. Check out the recap videos here.

Imagine Nation’s 8th Anniversary Celebration
Imagine Nation Brewing
1151 W Broadway St, Missoula, Montana
INBC was the first brewery in the country to create an intentional Center for Community Transformation, and we’re proud of the work we’ve done in this space. Over the past eight years, we’ve hosted thousands of community events with local organizations, raised tens of thousands of dollars for crucial causes, and led Taproom Dialogues about some of today’s most pressing issues. We could not have done all of this without YOU! We are because of each other.
When founders Robert & Fernanda decided to return to conflict relief work last year, ownership of the brewery transferred to local owners Tim & Annie Graham. Our entire staff remained on board to continue the mission of Imagine Nation: to create top quality craft beer and to joyfully address the challenges of our time and fuel social change in Missoula, Montana, and beyond.
Join us on Saturday, June 24th for an all day celebration of eight years of INBC!
You can look forward to:
– morning yoga/meditation session on our riverfront patio
– African drum and dance circle hosted by Oumar Keita and Heidi Waegele
– Drag queen story telling to spark your ImagineNation
– Organizing for Democracy taproom dialogue
– Special edition beer releases
– Live music with Wolf & The Moons

Bigfork Summer Playhouse
526 Electric Avenue, Bigfork, Montana

Book by Rick Elice & Marshall Brickman
Music & Lyrics by Andrew Lippa
In the kooky, upside-down world of the Addams Family, to be sad is to be happy, to feel pain is to feel joy, and death and suffering are the stuff of their dreams. Nonetheless, this quirky family still has to deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family, and the spookiest nightmare faced by every family creates the focus Lippa, Brickman, and Elice’s musical: the Addams kids are growing up.
The Addamses have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years and Gomez and Morticia, the patriarch and matriarch of the clan, would be only too happy to continue living that way. Their dark, macabre, beloved daughter Wednesday, however, is now an eighteen year-old young woman who is ready for a life of her own. She has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, a sweet, smart boy from a normal, respectable Ohio family — the most un-Addams sounding person one could be!
And to make matters worse, she has invited the Beinekes to their home for dinner. In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they’ve managed to avoid for generations: change.
Songs include: When You’re an Addams, Pulled, One Normal Night, The Moon & Me, Crazier Than You and more.

Ranging from the psychedelic to pop, blues to trap, he strives to create an atmosphere where people can face their hearts with hope and encouragement. He believes that art is meant to be good medicine whose purpose is expanding the consciousness of humankind in order to draw nearer unto the divine.
But I’m a Cheerleader (Missoula, MT) wants you to scream, cry, trans your gender, and sing along to their twee-punk wailings. You don’t have to, if you don’t want to, though. You can just pick one.
