It’s Missoula Marathon Weekend! The MUG has compiled the most comprehensive list of events from Thursday thru Sunday this last week of June in Missoula and around Western Montana, all right here for you to make your own Weekend PICKS!
Western Montana’s farmers markets are in full swing for the season. Missoula alone has five Saturday markets, and with the the rest the area bustling with fresh local markets every day of the week and weekend. Missoula Downtown Partnership’s Downtown Tonight is happening from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday at Caras Park featuring local food trucks, vendors and live music this week from Montana’s groovy cover band Mudslide Charley.
You can take the kiddos to a grade-schoolers’ performance of “Hansel and Gretel” at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Friday at Missoula Children’s Theatre.
The Summer Concert Series continues with The Police Academy – a great Police tribute live outdoor show, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday at Sapphire Lutheran Homes’ campus in Hamilton.
Logjam Presents welcomes The String Cheese Incident for two nights at the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner, starting at 8:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
There are at least 70 local music shows of one kind or another in the area throughout the weekend – we have options!
No matter what direction you wanna get outta town, you can’t go wrong. Lots of summer weekend activities and events are happening not only around Missoula, but all the way up the Flathead and the Bitterroot valleys, east to Phillipsburg and Anaconda, and out west past Alberton. If you’re headed up to Whitefish and Glacier, there are some outstanding pit stops to make along the way.
Get out & enjoy our locally-owned bars & restaurants with Montana grown / made food and beverages – they need your business! Try a new local brew! Support our local artists and vendors at the area farmers markets. Take the family for a summertime hike. Get out on the mountain bike. Catch a classic movie screening or a stand-up comedy night. Stretch that big brain at one of the local trivia nights. Sing your favorite karaoke song, or catch a live music show. Enjoy safely and responsibly.
