On May 22, 2021, the Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) will celebrate our 9th Annual Mini Show Benefit Auction at Ten Spoon Winery in Missoula’s Upper Rattlesnake. Need help accessorizing? We’ve got you covered! We’ve partnered with Farm Hand Farm to offer an exclusive discount on an assortment of dried and fresh floral accessories, including crowns and boutonnieres. The farmer and floral designer behind Farm Hand Farm, Adelaide Every, is also taking custom orders, so if you have your own vision contact her and she’ll bring it to life (at 25% off!). Dusty Drennen

“I come from a DIY and blue-collar background, and I was a soldier. I’ll do the work, all of it. I’ll write, sing, play. I’ll design, make the art. Hell, I’ll mop the floors at the end of the night! I want to be dependable as a songwriter and a musician. God-willing, I’ll be seventy-something years old, still writing, still putting out music.”
This particular songwriter emerged from decade of frustrations. There was a bad, bad woman, a recession, even a war. In the midst of the war, the man said to himself, “I should be writing and playing music. If I get out of here, that’s what I’ll do.”

Preceded by “Got the World(s) on a String,” a discussion by Alex Buhrmann about what string theory says about the possibility of extra dimensions and how all of this could lead to something even more fantastic than the universe: the multiverse. Alex has served as a lecturer in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Montana. Alex arrived in Missoula in the fall of 2010, after completing his doctorate in particle phenomenology at the University of Iowa. At the University of Montana, he has taught classes in introductory physics and astronomy, classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, elementary particle physics, and general relativity, and has instructed introductory physics and astronomy laboratories.
